Your comment makes me want to listen to the music in the link. I want to compare with music I hear at my local Kmart today (which last time I checked, included some dreadful "song" about some "single ladies" that included an arrangement more annoying than catchy. That was a few months ago, maybe more than a few months, so I wonder what they are playing right now.).

When I was a kid I loved going to S.S.Kresge's! It was *THE* place to shop in our town...until they built K-Mart! I got a job there fresh out of high school before the store actually opened, so I was there for the running-of-the-bulls-like stampede of "K-Mart Shoppers!" on our Grand Opening day. Talk about insanity! It looked like a twister hit the store.
Somehow, that music is so tacky and fun that it reduces stress. I can smell the K-Mart grill now... ah, memories.

Did you know that the "K" in K-Mart is for Kresge? That's why Kresges disappeared when K-Marts appeared, they're the same product in a new package. I did some work in K-Mart's "Store number one" somewhere east of the Miss, which retained the old moniker.

Yep, we'd get stuff from Troy sometimes labeled with both Kresge's and K-Mart. And you can bet as a loyal K-Mart employee that I shot lots of Focal brand film!

Where are you in AZ? I just recently left Tempe and in San Diego now... Been some pretty harsh weather through here of late! Looks like surfing has been pretty good though!!!
